Safe Compassionate Environment
A Supportive Environment
Feeling comfortable in a care setting matters. A supportive environment can help residents feel more settled while giving families greater confidence in the place their loved one calls home.
At Sunrise Hills AFH, safety is considered alongside dignity, comfort and quality of life. An Adult Family Home is a residential setting, and Washington DSHS identifies supervision and responsibility for resident safety and wellbeing as important elements of the setting.
Our approach is centered on appropriate support, respectful routines and attention to individual needs. We recognize that safety is not simply about the physical environment; it also includes communication, awareness and responding appropriately to concerns.
We aim to provide an environment where residents can feel respected and supported while families have a clear opportunity to communicate questions or concerns.
